Speed Reigns Supreme: Cadillac Dominates Qualifying at Le Mans 24 Hours; Toyota’s #7 Team Suffers Setback

Alex Lynn claimed pole position for the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, clocking the fastest time in his Cadillac. Yifei Ye’s Ferrari demonstrated strong performance, followed closely by Pier Guidi and Nielsen. Vanthoor briefly challenged for pole position before being outpaced by Lynn.

Other notable performances included Aitken’s fast lap in the Cadillac and a high-speed spin for Chatin’s Alpine. The top 10 was rounded out by a mix of Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Cadillacs, and Alpines. The Hyperpole session would feature the top 15 cars, with some surprises in the eliminations.

In the LMP2 class, Louis Deletraz set the pace in the Oreca-Gibson 07 for AO by TF team. Hanley and Pourchaire also showed strong performances. Deletraz remained optimistic about improving further in the upcoming sessions. Hanley and Quinn also impressed in the competitive field.
